My Sister's Keeper

Updated: Nov 1

As much as we want to be in "it" for ourselves, we can't. We are meant to impact those around us positively. God created us for a purpose, and attached to that purpose is our ability to reach another woman, encourage another woman, help another woman to heal, guide another woman, and lift up another woman.

We are our sister's keeper, but what does that mean?

Being our sister's keeper is building a bond and sisterhood with those around us. It's being vulnerable and accepting another woman for who they are. It's building and encouraging another woman. It's speaking life into each other. It's praying and warring for one another. It's showing up and being present. It's togetherness, future-oriented, goal-focused, and joy.

Life is not meant to be done alone. The Word says, "Just as lotions and fragrance give sensual delight, a sweet friendship refreshes the soul." Proverbs 27:9 MSG (read other translations)

It is a blessing to have a friend to encourage you, pray for you, and advise you. So, no, we cannot be in "it" for ourselves, whatever "it" is.

Being our sister's keeper is essential.

To be your sister's keeper, here are some things you have to do:

· Be trustworthy

· Avoid competition

· Be vulnerable

· Commit to making a positive difference in her life

· Speak life at all times

· Pray for and with her

· Do everything from your heart

I pray you find your circle!

I pray you find your community!

I pray you find your tribe!

But if you don't, BUILD IT!

Be your sister's keeper.
