Her husband took his life when she was 36; their children were 7 and 3. Rising in the skilled nursing sector, Julianne loved caring for the elderly. She rose to the President of a skilled nursing provider in the US with 320 locations in 21 states employing 30,000. What is the name of your chapter in Unleash Her?
Building a Lifetime of Resilience - Hope Through Hardship
Negotiating through the death of my young husband by suicide as well as other difficult life circumstances, I realized how alone and isolated one can feel. I offer my acronym “HOPE” to structure our response when we are facing times when we aren’t sure how we will survive. By taking my experience, sharing ideas and methods that helped me rise from the ashes to create a life I love, so others don’t have to learn all of the lessons and find their path without guidance, it will show that you are brave enough in each moment to heal.
What made you realize your business was necessary?
After informally walking women through the loss of a husband, it was suggested over and over that I should write a book. That was the genesis of my first book, “Head Above Water: A Journey of Emerging Hope.”
What is the greatest impact you want to make?
My goal is to walk alongside those who are grieving any loss in life and for them to know they are not alone.
How do you know you are making a positive impact?
I have testimonials from people I have worked with, as well as the encouragement to write my first book, which was published in 2021.
What advice would you give a woman scared to step into her greatness?
YOU are enough the way you are….and you are brave enough for each moment to move toward success. So many times, we are labeled or told what limits will be imposed on our life when things don’t work out as planned. I share my story to spark feelings of hope and desire to keep pressing on.
What is your favorite quote or scripture, and how does it relate to your purpose?
Jeremiah 29:11
I know God has plans for me. He has consistently taken things that should have been my demise and created goodness to show that He will make a way to walk in His purpose. His plan has always been better than mine. Julianne Williams is such a strong and resilient woman. She is what healing looks like.
